InstaDeep joins NVIDIA’s AI Inception Program
April 27, 2017
We are humbled and honored to let you know that InstaDeep has been accepted into Nvidia’s Inception Program, which is exclusively dedicated to promising AI startups.
NVIDIA, the world’s largest developer and manufacturer of Graphical Processing Units (GPUs), has been the main fuel provider for advances in the field of artificial intelligence ever since it dawned on machine learning experts in 2012 that GPU chips, initially designed for video games, could tremendously accelerate the often painfully slow process of training neural networks on the standard central processing unit (CPU). For a more detailed comparison between CPUs and GPUs, be sure to check out Tim Dettmers’ brilliant post on Quora.
To further promote the growth of deep learning and AI, NVIDIA launched the Inception Program. This program provides marketing opportunities, technical resources and tools for budding AI startups during key stages of product development and deployment. In particular, perks include access to NVIDIA’s dedicated engineering and deep learning experts through to potential seed funding via its GPU ventures program. Here at InstaDeep, GPU cards are our daily bread and butter for all the deep learning we do and we look forward to expanding our collaboration with industry leaders such as NVIDIA.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted with any further developments. Stay tuned.
